Accucraft Rideon – The EMD GP40 is an American outline diesel locomotive. It is a 4-axle diesel-electric road switcher locomotive built by General Motors’ Electromotive Division as part of its Dash 2 line between April 1972 and December 1986. Also available is the GP38 commonly used by Union Pacific.
Our model has a wealth of detail. The model features an all steel body, brass castings, ball bearing axles, spring suspension, direct chain drive and prewired headlights and marker lights. Power is provided by 4 350W electric motors making it a very power model.
Models are produced in Japan. Painted and packaged in China. Base model includes 1.6″ scale working couplers.
Special factory paint schemes are available but limited to 3 colours at additional costs – POA
