09 April 2018
Here is the first trial build sample from the ‘C38’ production line. It is ‘3801’ in its August 1963 livery with unlined cylinders, verdant green and silver cab roof.
A trial build sample of the standard (un-streamlined) version will be reviewed next. These two samples are built from production parts as the final test of the design before full batch assembly proceeds.
Following a careful examination of these pre-production samples, several corrections have been requested for inclusion in the production batch.
